Girls crowned Oldham champions

The Oldham heats for the Football League Under-13's Girls Cup recently took place with OASIS Academy progressing to the next stage.

The Football League Girls Cup is a national tournament, with the final being held at Wembley Stadium prior to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final in March.

The tournament was open to Oldham secondary schools to participate in with six schools taking part in the heats.

 

The schools were: Bluecoat, Failworth, Newman College, OASIS, Royton and Crompton, Waterhead Academy.

OASIS's next trip is to either Preston or Barnsley in early January for the area finals where they will represent their school and Oldham Athletic.

Should OASIS triumph in the area finals they will then travel to Leeds for the regional final and a chance to play at Wembley Stadium.
