Shrimps beat Latics
Latics reserves suffered a 3-1 defeat against Morecambe at Chapel Road in Central League, West Division.It was far from a vintage performance from Latics whose side included Cristian Montano and Sidney Schmeltz.
Morecambe took the lead midway through the opening half when Joe Mwasile rifled home a shot from 25 yards.

Morecambe regained the lead just after the hour mark after a bout of head tennis in the box as Marcus Marshall's effort looped over keeper Paul Rachubka.
Latics fell apart in the latter stages as Mwasile's drive struck the crossbar and he shot just wide with another effort.
And in stoppage time, Latics were undone by a long through ball as Tom Woods raced through and rounded Rachubka to slot into an empty net.
