League One review

Wolves moved to the top of Sky Bet League One to further strengthen their season-long standing as firm favourites for a return to the Championship at the first attempt.

Ethan Ebanks-Blake got the all-important goal at Notts County to make it six wins and two draws away from Molineux and take full advantage of a rare slip by Leyton Orient.

Wolves are now 8/11 to clinch the title (from 5/6) and 1/8 for promotion from 1/4 while Orient, who slipped to their first home defeat of the season – 1-0 at the hands of Preston -  have drifted from 10/11 to 5/4 for promotion and are out to 5/1 for the tile from 7/2.

Preston pushed their promotion claim with their win over Russell Slade's men and  are 3/1 to climb up the divisions come next May from 9/2 and 25/1 to top the pile from 33/1.

Meanwhile last season's beaten play-off finalists, Brentford, are now firmly in the frame after a somewhat shaky start to the campaign.

Their growing confidence was underlined with a 5-0 thumping of Crewe, making it five wins on the spin - taking them from 4/1 for promotion when that run started at the end of September to 15/8 following their latest triumph.

Swindon are another team on the up after a 2-1 triumph at Colchester and they can now be backed at 6/1 for promotion from 11/1 in the opening week of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Coventry and Bradford City remain 11/2 and 8/1 respectively in the promotion market after playing out a thrilling 3-3 draw on Sunday.

Bradford’s Nahki Wells had his odds to be the division’s top scorer cut from 18/1 to 6/1 after bagging a hat-trick, but Coventry duo Callum Wilson and Leon Clarke are League 1's top scorers after scoring one apiece – they're each 9/2 to finish top of the pile.
