Latics make four changes

Latics made four changes, two of which were enforced, for tonight's Sky Bet League 1 match at Shrewsbury Town.

Out of the side which won at Gillingham on Saturday went Genseric Kusunga, Joseph Mills, James Wesolowski and Jonson Clarke-Harris.

Kusunga was ruled out through suspension, Mills has returned to parent-club Burnley while Wesolowski and Clarke-Harris dropped to the bench.

Into the side came Matteo Lanzoni at right back, David Mellor at left back, Anton Rodgers in the centre of midfield and Charlie MacDonald (pictured) up front.

Latics were chasing a fourth straight victory in league and cup which would be their best run of results for seven years.

Shrewsbury (4-4-2): Weale; Goldson, Jones, Mkandawire, Jacobson; Parry, Summerfield, Wroe, Reach; Ugwu, McAlinden. Subs: Anyon, Winfield, McAllister, Bradshaw, McQuade, Marsden.

Latics (4-4-2): Oxley; Lanzoni, Tarkowski, Grounds, Mellor; Petrasso, Rodgers, Smith, Dayton; MacDonald, Philliskirk. Subs: Rachubka, Wesolowski, Schmeltz, Rooney, Clarke-Harris, Winchester, Belezika.
