2 October 2013

Camerman's identity revealed

Ian Thorp has revealed the identity of the cameraman who shot the footage in the Clayton Arms following the win against Sheffield Wednesday which clinched the Second Division title in 1991.

He says it was Tony Kirton, brother of the late Jim Kirton who ran the programme shop at Boundary Park.

Ian also pointed out it was Geoff Smith, now a car park attendant at Boundary Park, who led the communal singing on the film.
