Changing face of Boundary Park

Latics' fans attending this afternoon's home Sky Bet League 1 match against Carlisle United will see that work has begun on the next phase of the new North Stand at Boundary Park.

The enabling work - removing the terracing from the old Broadway Stand and clearing the debris which had been christened the 'Twin Peaks' - has been completed.

Now piling has begun to prepare the ground, on which the new North Stand will be built, as the photographs show.

Latics entertain a Carlisle club on the crest of a wave as it has collected 10 points from a possible 12 since Graham Kavanagh was appointed manager.

It will be a challenge for Latics though they, too, go into the game on the back of two good performances.

Latics held league leaders 1-1 at home when they were distinctly unlucky not to pick up all three points.

That was followed by an excellent 2-0 win at Preston North End in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Admission is available for all parts of the ground by payment at the turnstiles with the exception of the upper section of the George Hill Main Stand. Here tickets must be purchased from the ticket office.

Prices are:

George Hill Main Stand Upper: Adults £20, concessions £10

George Hill Main Stand Lower: Adults £19, concessions £9

The Verlin Stand (large section of Rochdale Road): Adults £20, concessions £10, under-12's £5.

Zen Office Chaddy End: Adults £20, concessions £10, under-12's £5.

Ambulant disabled and wheelchair users are £20 with free carer.
