Anton in Eire thoughts
Anton Rodgers has been named by Eire in a list of stand-by players for two forthcoming under-21 internationals.Latics' 20-year-old midfield man (pictured) could be called up for the UEFA under-21 qualifiers in Romania on October 11th and against the same opponents in Sligo four days later if any players pull out of the squad.
Rodgers has been capped twice by Eire at under-19 level, but hasn't as yet featured for the under-21's.
He joined Latics in the summer after being freed by Brighton and made his first league start last Saturday at Crawley Town.
