Euro success for under-17's
Latics' Danny Byrnes helped Wales qualify for the Elite Round of the UEFA under-17's championships.The midfielder (pictured), who was a substitute, came on for the last 17 minutes as Wales defeated hosts Slovenia 3-0 in their third match of a qualifying tournament.
Earlier in the week in Slovenia, Wales were involved in a goalless game against Scotland and 5-5 draw against Hungary.
They finished second in their group to progress to the Elite Round which will be staged next spring.
