Dayton injury cheer

16 September 2013

Tarkowski today having x-ray

Latics have received two pieces of cheer on the injury front.

James Dayton's knee injury is nowhere near as bad as was feared while Latics are also hopeful James Tarkowski may be back on Saturday.

Dayton (pictured) suffered swelling to his knee which was a cause for concern.

Lee Johnson explained that it is nothing worse than bone bruising.

"There is no structural damage to the knee and it is the best-case scenario," explained Latics' manager.

Tarkowski is today having a precautionary x-ray on his injured ankle.

The injury is a lot better and Johnson is hopeful he will be fit for Saturday's home league game against Crewe Alexandra.
