Supporters see bigger picture - Lee Johnson
Lee Johnson has praised Latics' fans for keeping the faith.Latics' manager believes supporters can see the bigger picture despite losing four of their first six matches in Sky Bet League 1.
Johnson (pictured) explained: "The fans are an educated bunch which is nice as they can see the long-term picture.
"They can see the changes are having an effect and will make us a dominant force at some stage."
Johnson has been pleased with most of his side's performances believing they are not far away from being a successful side.
"We have been playing well and creating chances - it is just a case of getting over the line and getting some wins," he continued.
Johnson praised the travelling support with nearly 600 fans going to Preston North End on Monday, despite the match being televised live.
And there could be as many as 1,500 making the trip for a first-ever visit to Rotherham's New York Stadium on Saturday.
Johnson continued: "Our travelling support was fantastic as it is always away from home.
"It gives me a boost and creates a great atmosphere which our lads thrive on. It does make a difference."
