Latics ready for Deepdale derby

Latics' fans could see new-signing Genseric Kusunga in action for the first time in tonight's Sky Bet League 1 match at Preston North End.

The defender, who completed a move to Boundary Park on transfer deadline day, is named in the squad for the Lancashire derby at Deepdale.

Charlie MacDonald and Cristian Montano are back after injury giving manager Lee Johnson an abundance of riches.

MacDonald has missed the last two matches through a dead leg while Montano was not risked in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy because of a similar injury.

Johnson has plenty of firepower at his disposal with Adam Rooney, Danny Philliskirk, Jonson Clarke-Harris and MacDonald vying for the two striking spots.

Latics' manager is looking forward to the game which kicks off at the unusual time of 7.35pm due to the fact it is being televised live on Sky Sports.
