Eagles fly into Boundary Park
Chadderton Park Eagles under-nine's are the J D Williams 'Team of the Week' for this afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 match against Crewe Alexandra.
The club has grown rapidly in recent years and has approximately 50 teams. They recently decided to no longer just offer football with netball and rounders proving popular.
Earlier this year Chadderton Park FC became known as Chadderton Park Community Sports Club.
Chaddy Park under nine's have been together as a team since 2010, when they used to play four-a-side games on Chapel Road on a Saturday morning. It was very easy to see in those early days that they had a talented bunch of players who would grow as a team over time.
In 2011 they entered the Manchester Youth and Mini Football League as under-sevens and did exceptionally well finishing runners up in their end of season competition.
Last year brought a new challenge as they decided to split the teams and create a new side. After a slow start to the new season the new boys started to gel and all the hard work paid off when they won the Rothwell summer tournament in Leeds.
This season the team has moved to the East Manchester Junior Soccer League where they are hoping for another successful.
