Welcome to this week’s commercial blog where we will keep you updated with the commercial happenings at Boundary Park and what will be happening over the coming weeks and months.

Last Thursday, in conjunction with O2 Business, we hosted a very successful business event at the Blue Tiffin. Over 40 businesses and club partners attended to hear interviews with Lee Johnson, Neil Joy and Carl Taylor from O2 Business. The Blue Tiffin provided a delicious buffet and plenty of new contacts were made. We’ll be running another over the course of the close season and we’d like to thank Kash Ashraf for his help in arranging the evening. We believe it’s vital that the club is at the heart of business in Oldham and any facilitating we can do between partners and sponsors, we are more than happy to.

The O2 Business Suite was full for the visit of Brentford on Saturday. Thanks to Alexican for being the match sponsor and to Talking Point for being the match ball sponsor. Two birthday parties also joined us, as did Rhys Turner before the game and Optima Cars man of the match James Wesolowski at full time to receive his champagne. Indeed the race to win the Optima Cars man of the match seasonal award is hotting up. Gary Harkins leads the way with four awards, but James Wesolowski is closing in with three. With only three remaining home games this season, it’s going to be a close run thing.

Coventry are next up at Boundary Park on Easter Monday. We do have limited availability for this game within the suite, please contact us with your enquiry.

Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we are hoping to announce a number of next season’s partnerships. Some will be renewals of existing partnerships, whilst we are also working very hard to secure a new major partner for the club. As soon as we can release details of these partnerships then we will do so via the official website. We do have some opportunities for major sponsorships and involvement. We are looking for a naming partner for the new stand, as well as a training kit partner. To find out more about these opportunities and what they can help your business to achieve, please contact David within our commercial team for further information.

The end of season dinner will be held on Tuesday, May 6. Ticket information will be released from next Monday and all sponsors who are entitled to tickets will be sent full details. Our aim is to make this event the biggest and best we have ever held. There are a number of awards that are available to sponsor on the evening. Talking Point are once again the sponsors of the prestigious Talking Point Player of the Year award. Last season this was won by Lee Croft. Voting will take place over the next few weeks so you can have your say as to who should take the crown.
