Manager Lee Johnson has made attacker Jonathan Forte his eighth summer signing following a successful trial.
The 28-year-old has been training with Latics over the summer and has signed a one-year contract with the club in a deal until the end of the 2014/15 season.The forward, who has made two international appearances for Barbados, joins following his release from Southampton.
Forte will wear the number 11 shirt next season.
