Singing section to be trailed for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Bradford City.
Following a meeting between representatives from the Athletico’s, manager Lee Johnson, Oldham Athletic safety officer Bryan Lawton and supporter liaison officer Jenny Warburton, it has been agreed that Oldham Athletic will trial a dedicated singing section within the Zen Office Chaddy End during Tuesday night’s Johnstones Paint Trophy tie against Bradford City.The section will be citied in block L1 (this is the front left-hand block as you look at the stand from the pitch) which currently contains the white O of OAAFC.
The idea of this trial is to encourage like-minded supporters to get together under the banner of the Athleticos and get behind the team creating an energetic and positive atmosphere.
Oldham Athletic must point out that this is a trial of a 'singing section', not an area where persistent standing will be permitted.
