Lee Johnson has bolstered his defensive options with the signing of George Elokobi on a one-year contract, subject to Football League clearance.
The 28-year-old appeared in Latics' 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town, coming on as a second half substitute.The defender spent six years with Wolverhampton Wanderers and is eligible to face his former side Colchester United tomorrow in the Sky Bet League One opener.
This deal has been partly funded by the PlayerShare scheme and an interview with director Barry Owen will be available on the website next week.
