Community Trust Introduce New Session

27 February 2014

The Community Trust have introduced a new innovative session to encourage supporters to take part.

After the success of the “50 Fives” football session at Saddleworth Pool, Oldham Athletic Community Trust, in partnership with OCL and Oldham Health Service, are expanding the project with a brand new session.

The new session will take place on Tuesday's at Oldham Sports Centre (OL1 3HA) 6pm-7pm. The session is five-a-side football for those who are 50 years of age or older and they are inclusive with anyone welcome, however, all players must complete a health form prior to playing. The emphasis on the project is to have fun and get people back into football. Everyone is welcome to either turn up, on their own or as part of a group.

Martin Vose, OACT participation manager added: “The 50 Fives project has really grown in popularity since its introduction a few months ago at Saddleworth Pool. It's fantastic news that we can now open up a brand new session to compliment the existing provision. If you're into football and want to keep fit, I urge you to come down and have a go. It really is a fun-filled yet slightly competitive hour.”
