Former favourite Tommy Wright has returned to Latics as the new assistant manager.
Wright, who held the role whilst John Sheridan was in charge, has rejoined Latics only days after goalkeeping coach Bobby Mimms left the club.Since leaving Latics in 2009, the former Scottish winger joined Chesterfield as number two to Sheridan and helped guide the Spireites to the League Two title and a Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory.
Lee Johnson, who worked with Wright at Chesterfield, admitted he was pleased to bring his experience back to the club. He said: "He's a good guy. Everyone knows him and likes him here, he's got an affinity with the club and I'm looking forward to working with him."
