Dale beaten in Semi-final
Latics youth team are through to the Lancashire Youth Cup Final after beating local rivals Rochdale on penalties (4-2) after the tie finished level at 3-3.
Latics took an early lead through Jordan Bove and looked to be in charge when Danny Byrnes doubled their lead on 25 minutes.
Dale recovered to level before the break, scoring just after the half hour and then through an exquisite shot on the half time whistle.
Latics made two substitutions with Tuohy and Foulds replacing Grant and Jacobs before Dale looked to have completed their comeback, taking the lead direct from a free kick on 73 minutes.
Latics levelled through a late penalty, scored by Bove for his second goal of the day, before Tony Philliskirk's side clinched their place in the final in the penalty shoot-out.
