The official website caught up with manager Lee Johnson at this morning’s press conference ahead of Saturday’s visit of Stevenage.
There will be a full interview on Latics player this afternoon as Gordon sat down with Lee, in the meantime here are a couple of Lee’s thoughts from this morning.
“It’s not an easy game, it’s an important one for us, we’ve got our players fit now and we’ve got to go into it with confidence after a really good show at Anfield, the crowd were great and we all feel positive going forward.”
When asked about the current injury situation Lee responded with “We’re getting our key players fit again and we’ve made a couple of signings as well, Charlie MacDonald is back training and he’s a key player for us.”
Looking ahead to the remainder of the season Johnson said “It’s been topsy turvey so far but I believe in the group we’ve got here, we now need to keep our players fit and go on a good run, keeping a consistent level. The group that I’ve got has now got a bit of everything and I’m excited by it.”
