Dayton returns for Latics
Latics will be without Matteo Lanzoni against Shrewsbury at Boundary Park today.
The Italian is out of contract at Boundary Park and has decided to move on.
James Tarkowski will, as he did against Coventry in Latics’ last match, play in central defence. David Mellor is back in the team as Carl Winchester drops to the bench.
James Dayton returns to the team after recovering from an ankle injury but the game comes too soon for James Wesolowski (head) and Charlie MacDonald (torn thigh muscle).
Latics are still also missing striker Danny Philliskirk (knee ligaments).
The Shrews team has ex Latics players Joe Jacobson in defence and the physical presence of Tom Eaves up front.
