Young Latics let lead slip
In horrendous conditions at Burnley College, Latics let a 2 goal lead slip to allow the home side an undeserved draw.
Neither team could earn a foothold in a tight first half which was to end goal less. The second half however proved to be a different matter as the game exploded into life.
A good ball from Ryan Leonard allowed James Beck through on goal to open the scoring for Latics. Moments later, Ryan Leonard again produced a quality through ball for Dan Mooney to lift it over the keeper to put Latics two goals ahead.
Unfortunately Burnley rallied and struck back quickly to reduce the deficit. And then to rub salt in Latics wounds the home side grabbed an equaliser in the last minute of the game to take a share of the points.
