Oldham Athletic youth team have been drawn away at Walsall in the first round of the Youth Alliance cup.
Youth team manager Tony Philliskirk will take his side to the West Midlands to face the Saddlers on August 30.Speaking about the tie, Philliskirk said: "It is one of the toughest draws we could have had. They finished high up the table and they beat us comfortably last season but we did beat them at home.
"The journey is the big factor though as it's going to be our longest trip, especially on a Saturday morning. If you asked me before the draw who I wanted to draw, Walsall would have been the team I said but we will go there and hopefully get the win to take us to the next round."
