Oldham Athletic's academy, sponsored by Safeguard, travel to the Butcher's Arms tonight to face Droylsden FC as they prepare for the new season.
With the new campaign a couple of weeks away, manager Tony Philliskirk is looking to test his players with fixtures against stronger opposition. He said: "I want to test the players to their extremes and there is no point playing lesser sides because that's not going to aid their development.
"Droylsden will be a tough side and I want to see how my players react to their stronger physicality. It's going to give me an indication of who can react well to certain situations so I'm looking forward to the test."
Kick off for the game is 7.30pm.
