Oldham Athletic Community Trust Holiday Activities

19 June 2014

Oldham Athletic Community Trust will once again be basing their popular holiday activities at Boundary Park for the full six weeks of the summer holidays.

This year however will see the introduction of two brand new holiday activities to the holiday programme. In addition to the new activities, the Community Trust are offering young football fans a chance to gain a FREE Oldham Athletic 2014/15 season ticket this summer.

For the entire six weeks, Boundary Park will be the base for a multi-activity week, which runs 8:30am-5:30pm for the cost of £10 per day. Each child who books on and completes a full week will receive a free Oldham Athletic 2014/15 child season ticket and water bottle. There will also be the opportunity to meet Oldham Athletic players through the week as they will be stopping by to say hello and sign some autographs.

As part of the holiday programme, a brand new girls only soccer school will be running, based at Royton and Crompton 3G pitch (OL2 6NT). The soccer school will be running 10am-3pm at the price of £5 per day.

In addition to the fun-filled activities planned for the week, each child who books on and completes a full week will receive a free Oldham Athletic 2014/15 child season ticket and water bottle.

There will also be the opportunity to meet Oldham Athletic players through the week as they will be popping down to say hello and meet our soccer school participants.

Another new addition to the holiday programme is the 3-5's soccer school, again based at Royton and Crompton 3G pitch (OL2 6NT). The soccer school will be running 10am-12noon at the price of £5 per day.

The soccer school will not just focus on football but also fun games to include all the fundamental movements such as balance and agility. Each child who books for the full week will receive a free water bottle.

Chaddy the owl will also be visiting the young soccer school participants to show off one or two tricks and skills.

Wendy Noble, OACT Administration Manager commented: "We're absolutely delighted to be able to offer two new summer activities. In addition we're all really excited with the season ticket offer and to making new friends which will keep children active over the holidays.

"It's a fantastic way for young footballs fans to come and watch Oldham Athletic next season. Come the first home game of the season it would be brilliant to see a lot of those who have come to our holiday courses at Boundary Park with their new season tickets."

Booking is essential for all three courses. If you want to join in with this summer’s fun then please email wendy.noble@oldhamathletic.co.uk or ring the Community Trust office on 0161 785 5176.
