James Wilson Previews Brentford

28 March 2014

James Wilson admits that Saturday's game with Brentford will be a tough encounter but is hoping to get one over his old side.

The defender had two spells with the Bees on loan in 2008 and 2009 and will be looking to get one over them on Saturday.

He said: "I was with Brentford on loan a couple of times and I really enjoyed my time there. They seem to have got a really good side this year and they are doing really well. They were unlucky last year so it will be a tough game."

Wilson has formed a good partnership with Adam Lockwood at the centre of defence and the 25-year-old is happy to have an older head at the back to guide him.

"Me and Locky came in at the same time and we've stayed there pretty much, so I'm enjoying playing with him," commented the Welsh international.

"He's always talking to me during the game and I think I need someone like that next to me so it's been perfect for me."

With the club unbeaten in their last three games, the defender is hoping to take that good form into Saturday's game.

He said: "We've done better in the last couple of games. Our shapes been good and I think that's helped so hopefully we can perform the same on Saturday."
