Preston North End midfielder Joel Byrom has joined Latics on an emergency loan until the end of the season.
Byrom, who joined the Lilywhites in 2012, should be available for tomorrow's game with Crewe Alexandra, subject to Football League confirmation.Manager Lee Johnson was delighted to get the deal done. He said: "Joel's come in to bolster us and adds a bit of experience at this level which is something we need."
Speaking exclusively to the website, Byrom said: "It's a good move for me. I know a few of the players here so it's a good team to come into.
"I'll bring a bit of balance to the team with my left foot. I like to keep the ball, create chances and hopefully I can nick a goal or two."
Joel will wear the number 24 shirt.
