Charity Game Raises £1,500

28 May 2014

A charity game played at Boundary Park last week has raised a fantastic amount of money for the Football League’s Official charity partner Prostate Cancer UK.

The game was organised in conjunction with the cycle challenge that Commercial Manager Jenny Warburton will be undertaking at the start of June.

Overwhelmed by the support offered to Jenny, her partner has agreed to participate in the challenge joining the 150 riders as a representative of Oldham Athletic.

Scott Jagger, who has been training alongside Jenny is up for the challenge, said: "Jenny did not really give me much choice in helping her train. She arrived home one day with a bike and off we went. We’re both in fairly good shape, we’ve been eating healthily and training well.”

Scott and Jenny will be joining over 150 members of the Football League family including former Latics’ player, Paul Warne who will be joining the challenge representing recently-promoted Rotherham United.
