Head Groundsman Chris Bailey will leave Oldham Athletic this summer to take up a role at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium.
Bailey, who has worked on the Boundary Park pitch for the past seven years, will join City as Assistant Groundsman and he cannot wait to get started.
He said: "It's a big opportunity and I'm sad to leave Oldham but I feel it's something I've got to do. If I don't take the opportunity now then it's something I might not get again.
"I've had seven fantastic years here where I have met some great friends but it's something I need to do to progress in my career.
"I'd like to thank everyone associated with the club for giving me the opportunity and to the supporters who have given me kind messages about the pitch this season."
Everybody at Oldham Athletic would like to thank Chris for his outstanding efforts over the past seven years and wish him the best for the future.
