Trevor Lewis RIP

6 May 2014

Oldham Athletic Football Club were saddened to learn of the recent passing of local cricket legend Trevor Lewis.

Trevor was on the books as a youth player at Boundary Park until the age of 18 years old when cricket took over his life as his number one priority.

Cricket was Trevor’s true love and he played in the Central Lancashire League with Royton CC, Crompton CC, Castleton Moor CC, Milnrow CC and Werneth CC.

Until falling ill, Trevor followed Latics home and away with enthusiasm and was always on the phone to our own Gordon Lawton discussing football and cricket (the pair were at Castleton Moor together).

The Directors, players and staff of Oldham Athletic send their deepest condolences to Trevor’s wife Maureen, and daughters Gillian, Heather and Elizabeth at this very sad time.
