Johnson: "You Will See Some Goals From Me."

10 November 2014

New on-loan signing Daniel Johnson believes he can add the extra bit of quality in attack to fire Latics up the Sky Bet League One table.

Johnson signed for Latics today after his loan spell with fellow League One side Chesterfield ended last week.

The 22-year-old, who spent time on loan with Yeovil Town in 2012, explained how the move came about. He said: "I got a phone call from the gaffer on Friday evening.

"I was initially off to London because I had the weekend off at Villa and he said I would be coming in on Monday so I was really pleased and looking forward to it. I'm happy to be here now and looking forward to getting going."

The attacking midfielder has outlined his intentions with the football club and feels he can play a part in getting Latics out of the division this season.

"I just want to come in and add to the team with my quality," commented Johnson. "When I was at Chesterfield, we thought Oldham were really good.

"They are a good passing team and we thought they did really well. We both deserved the point on the day and I'm here now to add my quality to Oldham.

"I try my best and go out there and give everything that I have got. Hopefully while I'm here and I can produce the same form as I did there. You will see some goals from me."
