Today marked the final day of Jon Guy's stay with the football club after six-and-a-half years.Saturday's clash with Scunthorpe United was the physio's last game and he leaves the football club today ending a long association with the football club.
He said: "To go out with a win last week was special. It seems surreal at the moment because it does not feel like I'm leaving. I've not travelled with the squad to Peterborough today so it just feels strange them being there and me being here.
"I had a bit of love on Twitter after the game which was nice because I don't usually get more than three retweets! I'll definitely miss it around here. I will miss the people and definitely the match days. We work all week to get people fit and the match day is what we work towards.
"I like to think I'm leaving the club in a good position. I've left it clean and tidy for the new person to come in and I've enjoyed every minute of my time here."
Oldham Athletic would like to thank Jon for his services to the football club and we wish him every success in the future.
