A mix of senior and youth players took part in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Bury this afternoon.
Devante Jacobs had given Latics the lead but a defensive error in the second half allowed Bury to equalise and the game ended 1-1.Adam Lockwood made his return to action three months after picking up a unique injury against Barrow in pre-season.
The game also allowed Connor Brown, David Mellor and Rhys Turner to get minutes under their belt and the manager was happy with his team's display.
Lee Johnson said: "I thought it was a good game. The game was put on for Locky and he has had a good 60 minutes there and looked better than I thought he would given the injury he has had.
"It was good for a couple of the senior players to keep up their fitness and I thought the younger lads did well as well."
