Local company, The Safeguard Group, have showed their loyal support for Oldham Athletic Community Trust by continuing as an official partner of the Community Trust.

As part of the partnership deal The Safeguard Group will again sponsor the popular Community Trust holiday activities, which will again be held at the SportsDirect.com Park.

Ben Ingham, Education and Community Lead, said: "We are absolutely delighted to sponsor the OACT holiday club. We were thrilled at the success of our first work together, the summer camps were fully booked and this one already has a waiting list without any real advertisement. OACT are a great charity providing amazing opportunities for the young people of Oldham .As a company we share their purpose and by working together we can do so much more."

The OACT holiday club ran a holiday club throughout the recent six week holidays, operating from 8:30am-5:30pm at a cost of only £10 per day. Activities included ground tours, multi-sport sessions and the chance to meet the Oldham Athletic players. With the support of The Safeguard Group the holiday camp was a huge success, with on average 60 children attending per day.

Wendy Noble, Oldham Athletic Community Trust Admin Manager commented: "We are delighted to have The Safeguard Group on board to assist us again with the delivery of our holiday activities. Having the support of the local community in Oldham is crucial to us and by having The Safeguard Group on board it means we can only improve the provision on offer to the children."

Due to the support of The Safeguard Group during the summer holiday camp 55 children received free Oldham Athletic season tickets as a reward for their participation throughout the holidays. This incentive wouldn’t have been made possible without their support and really demonstrates the added value the support from The Safeguard Group has been.

The holiday club for the upcoming October is fully booked up. For more information on further holiday clubs please contact wendy.noble@oldhamathletic.co.uk.
