Latics central defender James Wilson feels his play is profiting from a consistent run in Lee Johnson's starting 11.
Wilson, who signed for the club in January, has been a key figure in the heart of the defence for Oldham Athletic and has been instrumental in the club's recent ten game unbeaten run.
After joining from Bristol City where he found opportunities hard to come by, the defender believes he has benefitted from consistent game time.
He said: "I had a lot of injury troubles at Bristol in the last few seasons but since I've arrived here I've played every game and it's good for me to have a good run in the side.
"I'm enjoying myself this season. I'm enjoying every game and the way we are playing which helps me a lot.
"We've been solid in defence but I would not just put it down to us. We've been playing well as a team and passing the ball well which always helps."
Latics make the trip to Chesterfield tomorrow, a team who boast the Football League's top goalscorer in Eoin Doyle and it will be up to Wilson to keep the striker out.
"I've seen that he has scored a lot of goals, including a few penalties, but I've never played against him before because he's been in Scotland so I'm sure we have a plan for him," commented Wilson.
"It's not about there team, it is about ours. We are ten unbeaten in the league and cup so I don't see why we can't keep the run going. There is no reason why we can't climb the league and stay there for the rest of the season."
With the club currently in eighth position in Sky Bet League One, Wilson believes the team are in a good place at the moment.
"I've been at many clubs but there is something about this team," admitted the 25-year-old. "The lads here are great and it is a great dressing room.
"We are all together and even the lads that aren't playing at the moment are willing us to do well. The coaches are good as well as they are pushing us together so it's a tight knit group.
"I enjoy the smaller feel of the club and it is definitely more of a family feel that I have been at before so I'm enjoying it here."
