Oldham Athletic have signed Bolton Wanderers development striker Conor Wilkinson on a one-month youth loan.The 19-year-old goes straight into the squad to face Gillingham tomorrow afternoon.
Wilkinson, who scored against Latics midweek in the Manchester Senior Cup game, enjoyed spells with Chester and Torquay last season.
The 6'3" forward has represented Republic of Ireland at under 17, 19 and 21 level.
Speaking about the player, manager Lee Johnson said: "He is a player we have tracked for a while now. We watched him progress through the ranks at Bolton and we look forward to bringing him into the squad.
"He played against us the other day and looked good so it will be interesting to see if he can fulfill his full potential with a League One side.
"He is physically strong and a good finisher. He will complement all that we have got at the moment and that can only help the squad.
"We want to thank Bolton for lending us the player and we are coming up to a period of games where we need all the bodies we can get."
Wilkinson will wear the number 14 shirt.
