Player Departs On Deadline Day

1 September 2014

Striker Jonson Clarke-Harris has departed the club and signed for Championship side Rotherham United for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old scored his first goal of the season on Saturday against Doncaster Rovers and will now start a new challenge with the Millers.

Clarke-Harris was voted the club's Young Player of the Season in his first year with the club after netting nine times in 55 appearances.

Speaking about the departure, manager Lee Johnson said: "Jonson was a project that we brought in for nothing from Peterbrough and we have a good fee for the player.

"We've done well with Jonson because we've looked after him and we've turned him into a real valuable asset.

"We wish him all the best and thank him for his hardwork and commitment and look forward to watching him flourish in his career."
