Rachubka Happy With Form

15 September 2014

Oldham Athletic recorded their fourth consecutive clean sheet on Saturday and that is no fluke according to goalkeeper, Paul Rachubka.

The goalkeeper, who signed a one-year contract extention with Latics at the start of the season, has not conceded a goal in 274 minutes of football.

Rachubka has pulled off some wonderful saves, including the save from Cody McDonald in the late stages of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Gillingham.

Speaking about his own performance, the 32-year-old was quick to praise the people around him for his recent good form.

He said: "I'm really pleased with my current form and the defence as a whole has been solid. We've been working on it on the training ground and it's no conincidence to see us bringing that form into games."

Latics travel to Swindon Town tomorrow night and the goalkeeper believes the club can kick on from their form and grab the win.

"It didn't fire for us on Saturday but if we get a lucky goal or something sticks for us then everything changes. We will be kicking on from that game now," commented the 33-year-old.

"With the way we are playing and the squad we have at the moment, I'm confident things we can get the wins in the next few weeks."
