Latics forward Dominic Poleon is looking to build on his two stunning goals on Saturday and wants to finish the season strongly.
The 21-year-old rifled a screamer to put Latics two goals to the good before Sheffield United's second half fightback and Poleon spoke about that goal.
With Poleon coming into a rich vein of form before the end of the season, the former Leeds man highlighted the impact of fellow forward, Danny Philliskirk.
"Philliskirk is a good player. I think he is the kind of player, for me personally, you need him on the ball," commented Poleon. "The way he plays, if you give him the ball, he can make things happen.
"Sometimes that is hard to see from the stands but I like playing with players like that because you know that if he gets the ball in good areas he can either slip you in or create something for hopefully one of our strikers to score."
Latics travel to the Ricoh Arena tonight for the game with Coventry City. "I have a few friends I have that play for Coventry but as soon as you cross the white line there are no friends in football.
"You are there to get the job done and walk away with the three points."
