Mark Brown will be the man in charge of Oldham Athletic’s opening day clash away to Walsall.
Brown officiated Latics this pre-season in their 2-0 defeat to Blackburn at SportsDirect.com Park.
The last time Brown took charge of a Latics game competitively was in last season’s 1-0 victory over Fleetwood at home in September 2014.
Steven Plane and David Plowright will assist the referee whilst Joe Simpson will be Saturday’s fourth official.
