Manager Keen To Turn Home Form Around

10 December 2015

Manager David Dunn is keen to turn the club’s home form around as we approach the hectic Christmas period.

With only four wins at home in the league this year, the manager knows that form has not been good enough and is keen to eradicate that.

He said: "Results need to improve at home and I’m responsible for that. That is something we are going to have to improve on and we’ve been trying to do that for the last few months.

"The home form has been disappointing for around 12 months and we need to improve that. We keep saying that week in and week out and I know that talk is cheap, we just need to go over that white line and produce. If we do that, then we will be in a far better position.”

Millwall are the visitors to SportsDirect.com Park this weekend and the manager knows what sort of test they will prove to be.

“I went to watch them against Burton and they are doing really well under Neil Harris,” he admitted. “He’s a good manager, good guy and very competitive as a player and that seems to be what he’s like as a manager.

"The Millwall side are competitive so it will be a tough game for us so we will have to stand up to the battling qualities that they show. That is going to be the main thing that we need to do early on. They have got some decent players so they will be dangerous.”

Dunn has a strong team to pick from over the festive period, with only one player currently missing due to an injury.

He said: “There is only Jonathan Forte at the minute but he’s not far off. Hopefully he will be back after Christmas but like coming back from any operation, you’ve got to be sure that it’s the right thing to join in and get the contact up and then you have to get him fit.”
