Heyside Junior Blues U9s

Heyside Junior Blues Under 9s are managed by Mark Boothroyd, Ste Cullen and Simon Farraday.

This week's Team of the Week started their journey as a team in the season of 2013, playing in the East Manchester Junior Football League and started the season in division three.

By the end of their first season they had gained themselves promotion to division two. The season so far has had its ups and downs with Heyside playing some tough teams which included Stockport FC who they faced in an end to end encounter in the quarter finals of a cup competition.

The boys showed a great desire to win staying disciplined throughout the whole game and focused on the job in hand. Heyside eventually came out winners scoring with minutes to go to send them through to the semi final of the cup.

"The team have a great attitude to the game showing real self discipline, a willingness to develop their skills whilst enhancing their confidence but ultimately having fun," Boothroyd said.
