Brown: "I Am Ready To Get Back Into The Squad."

16 January 2015

Latics full back Connor Brown is raring to go after returning to the club from his loan spell from Carlisle United.

The 23-year-old made nine appearances for the Cumbrians and arrives back at SportsDirect.com Park looking to cement a spot back in manager Lee Johnson's plans.

He said: "I'm trying to impress in training and I'm now match sharp so I'm ready to get back in and keep my spot again.

"I noticed that playing in League Two is miles more physical and direct. It's not a drop in standard because there are a lot of good teams out.

"It's not particularly as much football where as with me being small, more football suits me.

"The manager knows that I am ready to get back into the squad but we will see what happens at the weekend."

Latics travel to Fleetwood Town tomorrow looking to get their play off bid back on track and Brown believes the club can kick start a good run up the league table.

"They are a good side and are doing well in the league. I've played a friendly there in my first season at the club so they have kicked on since then and it will be a good game," commented the full back.

"Hopefully we can pick up three points and get back on the run which did us well near the start of the season.

"It only takes a couple of wins to get back up there so hopefully we can get the wins and be back in the play offs where we should be."
