New loan signing Jake Kean is looking forward to getting games under his belt after signing on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old, who signed from Blackburn Rovers yesterday, explained how the move first came about.
He said: "It was on the cards for a couple of days but it took a while to finally get it sorted out with Blackburn rather than Oldham. The manager was pushing to get it done and we have finally got it through in time for Saturday.
"At the minute, the right thing for me to do is get away from the place and concentrate on playing my football and enjoying it again elsewhere."
Kean could make his debut for the club in today's clash with Notts County and he is confident he can make a good impression.
"Whatever comes my way tomorrow, hopefully I can deal with, get the first clean sheet and get off to a good start," commented the stopper.
"It's always nice to get a clean sheet but it's not the be-all and end-all but if I can do my job and the defence do their job then we'll all stick together and it's down to the lads at the other end of the pitch to seal it for us."
