Mick Russell will be the man in charge for Saturday's away game with Fleetwood Town.
Russell has handed out 50 yellow cards and three reds in his 18 games in charge this season.
The referee last officiated Latics in their 1-0 victory over Gillingham in February 2014.
Anthony Backhouse and Darren Strain will assist Russell whilst Matthew Parry will be Saturday's fourth official.
