The first wedding has been booked in the Oldham Event Centre, set to take place on July 2, 2016.
Janet Leigh and Christopher Mayhew, from High Crompton, are the first couple to book their wedding reception at OEC.Janet said: "It isn't finished yet but we have seen pictures and it looks lovely. They’ve invited us back for a proper look as soon as its ready.
"Our ceremony will take place at Chadderton Town Hall and then we’ll come here for the meal and the night do. There’ll be plenty of Latics fans at our wedding and I’m sure they’ll spend more time gawping at the pitch while the meal and speeches are going on.
"I’m pleased that we are the first couple to book our wedding here. It’ll create a real talking point on the day."
Bookings are still being taken for events, weddings and conferences.
