SIGNING: Holden Recruits Experienced Full Back

13 March 2015

Experienced defender Mat Sadler has joined Oldham Athletic on a one-month emergency loan from Rotherham United.

The full back, who has featured on loan for fellow League One side Crawley Town earlier in the season, will bolster Dean Holden's defensive line as he prepares his side for tomorrow's game.

Sadler started his career with Birmingham City before moving to Watford. He spent time with Walsall and Crawley before making the move to Rotherham but has found his chances with the Championship side limited.

Caretaker manager, Holden, said: "Mat is a good footballer with bags of experience in the game. He's solid, reliable, hardworking, got a great attitude and has a fantastic work ethic.

"With the injury to Joseph Mills and the suspension of Brian Wilson, Sads will be a good addition to our squad."

The 30-year-old goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's clash with Barnsley.
