Winchester Scoops Double At End Of Season Awards

Oldham Athletic midfielder Carl Winchester scooped two awards at the end of season awards dinner tonight.

The 22-year-old bagged the Alex Williams Believe and Achieve Young Player of the Season, voted for by the players and he also scooped the big award of the night as picked up the Talking Point Player of the Season, voted for by the supporters.

Winchester has been in impressive form this season, scoring four goals which earned him international recognition earlier in the season.

Mike Jones was also a big winner at the awards dinner, also picking up two awards.

The midfielder won the Trust Oldham Player of the Season and the Player's Player of the Year to cap off a fantastic season.

Dominic Poleon also won two awards on the night, winning the Boundary Blues Player of the Season and his strike against Sheffield United earned him the Goal of the Season.

Jack Truelove picked up the Community Trust Player of the Season award and Jonathan Forte won the Top Goalscorer award and the Optima Cars Most Man of the Matches award.
