Tony Harrington will be the man in charge of Saturday’s FA Cup first round clash with Mansfield Town.
In his eight games in charge this season, Harrington has handed out 23 yellow cards and no reds.
The last time he officiated Latics was in last season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy penalty defeat to Preston North End.
Peter Gibbons and Darren Strain will assist the referee whilst David Benton will be Saturday’s fourth official.
