Oldham Athletic Community Trust Kids Cup

13 November 2015

Day two of the Oldham Athletic Community Trusts Kids Cup was played this morning as 11 local primary schools competed for a chance to progress to the next round of the competition.

In total 90 young children were present at the event, taking the total amount of children engaged so far over the two days to nearly the 200 mark with one more event to come.

Every child who has taken part in this year’s competition will receive a complimentary ticket for the visit of Millwall to SportsDirect.com Park on December 12.

The Football League Kids Cup competition is a national competition with the grand final being played at Wembley Stadium prior to the League One play-off final.

Last year South Failsworth made it all the way through the competition and represented Oldham Athletic at Wembley in the final running out 1-0 winners against Crawley Town.

The schools that competed this morning were: Mills Hill, Greenhill, East Crompton St James, St Margarets, Hulme Grammar, Medlock Valley, St Lukes, OASIS Limeside, Royton Hall, Bare Trees and Holy Rosary.

Oldham Athletic Community Trust would like to thank everyone for attending this morning and good luck to Mills Hill, Hulme and OASIS Limeside who have all progressed through to the finals day.
